Why I'm Running
When I retired as your Sheriff in January 2025, I believed my time in an elected office was complete.
However, the more I watched what’s happening in our county, the more I realized I’m not finished serving our community yet. I’ve spent 37 years working for and with the people in Lincoln County. I started at the Sheriff’s Office in 1987 and worked my way up to serving as your elected Sheriff from 2016-2025. I’ve managed budgets, I’ve lead teams of dedicated individuals, and I’ve always taken my responsibility to this community seriously.
I’m not running to be partisan in this position. I’m running because leadership matters and I can help improve county government for our citizens and county employees.
Lincoln County is facing real challenges: public safety concerns, housing affordability, homelessness, economic uncertainty, infrastructure needs, safe drinking water, and questions surrounding a potential ICE facility, just to name a few. These issues require strong, dedicated, experienced leadership that understands how county government actually works.
Experience isn’t optional in times like these, it’s essential to improving County government. We don’t need noise. We need results. We don’t need division. We need collaboration.
We don’t need politics. We need accountability.I’ve led through crisis before and I’m prepared to lead again.Lincoln County deserves strong, responsible leadership that puts the entire community first. That’s why I’m running.
